Vietnam seems to be the standout team from Southeast Asia in recent years (except for the fact that they couldn't manage to even make the last tournament's final, losing to eventual champ Thailand in the semifinals)

Group Stage
We will know the outcome of the play-in series in November, and the winner will file into group A. Top 2 from each group go into the semi-finals. Group stage's most interesting games are likely going to be the games between the 2/3 ranked teams in each group (Indonesia / Philippines, Malaysia / Singapore).
